The Rotana hotel group has announced plans to double its presence in Saudi Arabia with the opening of 8 new hotels in the Kingdom over the next four years.
The announcement was made at the recent Saudi Tourism Forum in Riyadh, with Rotana aiming to expand to 16 properties with 4,400 keys. The expansion includes new hotels in Riyadh, Madinah, Khobar, and Al Baha.
Rotana currently operates 74 hotels across the Middle East, Africa, Europe, and Turkey, welcoming 6 million guests annually.

Rotana’s expansion strategy involves launching eight new properties in the kingdom by 2026. This significant development includes the introduction of the following:
- Four Edge by Rotana Properties in Riyadh
- Rayhaan by Rotana in Riyadh
- Al Manakha Rotana in Madinah
- Dar Rayhaan by Rotana in Al Khobar
- Edge by Rotana in Al Baha
This expansion will increase Rotana’s total key count in the kingdom to 4400 across 16 properties, effectively doubling its presence in Saudi Arabia.

Rotana operates 74 hotels in the Middle East, Africa, Eastern Europe, and Türkiye, serving more than six million guests annually.
Its portfolio spans 19,237 keys and six superlative brands, including an impressive 10,159 keys across 36 hotels in the UAE and 2,200 keys across eight hotels in Saudi Arabia.
Rotana’s Expansion Beyond Saudi Arabia
Apart from Saudi Arabia, Rotana has also planned to expand in several other regions. The company’s regional pipeline for 2024 includes
- Onyx Arjaan by Rotana in Manama, Bahrain,
- Bomonti Arjaan by Rotana in Istanbul, Türkiye,
- Riviera Rayhaan by Rotana in Doha, Qatar
- Luxor Rotana Resort in Luxor, Egypt.
Moreover, Rotana is expected to debut in the Algerian market with the launch of “Azure Rotana Resort & Spa” in the port city of Oran. “Bloom Arjaan by Rotana” on Abu Dhabi’s Saadiyat Island is also scheduled to open in 2024.
