As Saudi Arabia continues to reinvent itself as a global tourist hub, the recent signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Cruise Saudi, wholly owned by the PIF, and the Al-Madinah Development Authority is set to bring a new wave of change in the country’s tourism sector.

With port facilities in Jeddah, Yanbu, and Dammam, Cruise Saudi enables cruise lines from around the globe to include Saudi as a port of call on their itineraries. Cruise Saudi has also recently launched its first cruise ship called “Aroya Cruise.”, a 335-meter-long ship that will set sail from Jeddah in 2024.
This collaboration with the Al-Madinah Region Development Authority is set to be a game-changer in the Kingdom’s tourism sector, revealing the Kingdom’s rich cultural heritage, history, and natural wonders to the world.
Additionally, Cruise Saudi has renewed its partnership with Discover Saudi. Cruise Saudi aims to welcome 1.3 million cruise visitors to Saudi Arabia by 2035 and provide 50,000 direct and indirect jobs while supporting Saudi’s Arabias Vision 2030.
This collaboration is a testament to the successful third season, with Discover Saudi offering unique shore excursions to over 5,200 cruise passengers.
