IHG Hotels & Resorts has introduced its premium voco brand to Makkah, aiming to cater to the needs of religious travelers visiting Makkah during Hajj or Umrah seasons. Voco Makkah is the largest voco-branded hotel globally with 4,321 keys and marks the third voco property in Saudi Arabia.
A New Addition to IHG’s Portfolio
IHG Hotels & Resorts has been flourishing in Saudi Arabia since its initial venture into the Kingdom in 1975 with the launch of InterContinental Riyadh. They recently opened their Saudi Headquarters in Riyadh in the King Abdullah Financial District.
The hospitality giant currently operates 40 hotels, encompassing 18,000 rooms, and has an additional 32 hotels under construction.
