The Esports World Cup will take place in Riyadh’s Boulevard City for the first time from July 3rd to August 25th, 2024, featuring over 1,500 players from 500 international clubs and over $60 million in prizes. 

This initiative aligns with the National Gaming and Esports Strategy under Vision 2030 to boost Saudi Arabia’s status as a premier esports destination.

The Introduction of e-visas by the Esports World Cup Foundation, in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Tourism, will ensure a seamless and hassle-free experience for international visitors.

This innovative measure aims to simplify entry procedures, enabling ticket holders to secure their visas conveniently through the Saudi Visa national platform.

By applying through the dedicated platform, visitors can secure a 90-day single-entry visa, granting them ample time to immerse themselves in the captivating world of esports and explore the rich cultural tapestry of Saudi Arabia.

Saudi’s $8 Billion Gaming Industry Investment

This move aims to position the kingdom as a major international esports gaming market player. This investment is part of a larger budget of $38 billion allocated by the Savvy Games Group, which aims to generate 40,000 job opportunities. 

The group has already invested in major gaming companies such as Nintendo and Activation Blizzard.
