Enhancing Connectivity

With the introduction of these new routes, flynas is poised to become the largest Saudi airline operating in the UAE, with a combined frequency of more than 20 daily flights between the two countries.

This increased connectivity not only caters to the growing demand for air travel but also aligns with Saudi Arabia’s vision to position itself as a global aviation hub, accommodating 330 million passengers and hosting 150 million tourists annually by 2030.

Facilitating Pilgrim Experience Program

Flynas’ expansion into the UAE market holds particular significance for religious tourism and the facilitation of pilgrim travel.

By enhancing accessibility to the Two Holy Mosques in Saudi Arabia, the airline’s new routes support the objectives of the Pilgrims Experience Program (PEP), a strategic initiative aimed at streamlining the journey for pilgrims from around the world.

Competitive Pricing and Affordability

In line with its low-cost carrier model, flynas is expected to offer competitive pricing on these new routes, making travel between Saudi Arabia and the UAE more affordable and accessible to a broader demographic.

With fares starting as low as Dh 239 for a flight from Dubai World Central to Riyadh and Dh 249 for trips from Abu Dhabi or Sharjah to Madinah, the airline is poised to attract budget-conscious travelers and further stimulate the region’s tourism industry.

Fueling Growth

Flynas’ ambitious expansion into the UAE market is a testament to the airline’s commitment to sustainable growth and its determination to solidify its position as a leading player in the global aviation industry.

Last July, the carrier signed a landmark agreement with Airbus to purchase 160 new aircraft, including 30 wide-body planes, increasing its total aircraft orders to an impressive 280 planes – one of the largest aircraft purchase orders in the region.

This strategic move not only supports the growth of the aviation sector in Saudi Arabia but also aligns with the airline’s ambitious expansion plan, launched under the slogan “We connect the world to the Kingdom.”

Driving Competition

Flynas’ entry into the UAE market is expected to intensify competition among airlines operating between Saudi Arabia and the UAE, like Air Arabia, Flydubai, Saudia, Etihad Airways, and Emirates Airlines

However, this competitive landscape could ultimately benefit travelers as airlines strive to enhance their service offerings, introduce innovative amenities, and provide more competitive fares.

Aligning with Saudi Vision 2030

This strategic move not only aligns with the Kingdom’s National Civil Aviation Strategy and the Saudi Vision 2030 but also positions flynas as a key facilitator of religious tourism and a driving force behind the region’s economic growth.

Saudi Arabia’s National Civil Aviation Strategy aims to link the Kingdom to 250 global destinations, handle 330 million passengers, and welcome 150 million tourists each year by 2030.
