SAUDIA, the national airline of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and Newcastle United Football Club (NUFC) have renewed their partnership for the 2023/24 season and beyond. 

The extended agreement fortifies their commercial relationship, with SAUDIA maintaining its status as the club’s official airline partner.

Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (The PIF) is a majority shareholder in Newcastle United FC holding 80% of the shares.

The partnership extension follows SAUDIA’s commitment during the 2022/23 season. The airline played a crucial role in NUFC’s activities, notably sponsoring the travel to and from Newcastle to Riyadh for the club’s warm-weather training camp in December 2022. 

The Magpies claimed the inaugural Diriyah Season Cup at the Prince Faisal Bin Fahd Stadium, beating the Saudi Pro League team, Al-Hilal.
