The resort, consisting of 60 hyper-luxury keys, is intricately carved into the craggy rocks of The Red Sea. To preserve the striking silhouette of the environment, the resort is not built on the mountainside but is instead carved directly into the ancient rock.

Hence, this approach ensures the resort maintains a harmonious relationship with its surroundings. The materials excavated from the site, such as stone and sand, are repurposed for the resort’s infrastructure, including interior and exterior walls and floors.

A Gateway to an Extraordinary Experience

Guests will enter the Desert Rock Resort through a hidden valley between the mountains. The resort’s design emphasizes minimal disruption to the landscape, with roads pushed to the edge of the main wadi and hidden behind landscape mounds.

By minimizing sound and light pollution, guests can fully immerse themselves in the dramatic beauty of the desert. Desert Rock will offer a range of luxurious accommodations, including 48 villas and 12 hotel rooms, each providing uninterrupted views of the surrounding desert.

Guests can choose their preferred vantage point, from ground-level dwellings to crevice hotel suites midway up the mountain. Furthermore, several rooms will be located within the rock massif, offering a unique and unforgettable experience.

Unparalleled Amenities and Activities

The Desert Rock Resort will boast state-of-the-art amenities designed to cater to the needs and desires of discerning guests. A spa and fitness center will provide relaxation and rejuvenation opportunities, while remote destination dining areas will offer culinary experiences amidst the serene desert landscape.

Additionally, a feature lagoon oasis will offer a refreshing retreat for guests. Guests can partake in various activities to fully embrace the natural wonders surrounding the resort. Hiking trails allow visitors to explore the rugged terrain.

While dune buggies offer an exhilarating adventure across the desert sands, stargazing opportunities will allow guests to marvel at the night sky, immersing themselves in the tranquility of the desert.

Preserving History and Engaging the Local Community

The Desert Rock Resort project is focused on creating a world-class luxury destination and preserving the region’s rich history. Local community members are employed as stewards of the land, ensuring the preservation of the ancient sites and providing educational tours for visitors.

This commitment to engaging the local community and honoring the region’s heritage adds depth and authenticity to the Desert Rock experience.

The Red Sea Project: A Visionary Development

Desert Rock is part of the first phase of The Red Sea Project. By the end of 2024, the Red Sea region will be home to 16 hotels and resorts, including renowned brands like Six Senses, St. Regis, Ritz-Carlton Reserve, Faena, and more.
