NEOM has awarded the Swiss company Kuehne+Nagel a contract to transport 1.4 Million Freight Tonnes of goods, including 190 wind turbine generators and 67 towers, to the Neom Special Economic Zone.

NEOM, which means ‘new future,’ is a unique economic zone northwest of Saudi Arabia. It aims to serve as a model for sustainable living powered entirely by renewable energy. 

The NEOM wind farm is expected to generate 1.67 GW of renewable energy, which will be used for large-scale hydrogen production by the NEOM Green Hydrogen Company.

To execute this task, Kuehne+Nagel has assembled a team of over 100 professionals, including project logistics experts, vessel chartering specialists, transport engineers, drivers, and riggers. They have also established an office in Tabuk, Saudi Arabia, to coordinate the operations efficiently.
