Saudi Aramco has announced an extension of its partnership with the Aston Martin Formula One Team, making them their Sole Title Sponsor until 2028. Based in Silverstone, England, the team will be officially known as the Aston Martin Aramco Formula One Team starting January 1, 2024.

This strategic partnership symbolizes a renewed dedication to collaborative innovation in new mobility solutions on and off the track.

The partnership extension between Aramco and Aston Martin will last until 2028, further cementing the successful collaboration that began in 2022. The strategic alliance signifies a renewed commitment to innovate in new mobility solutions on and off the track. 

The team’s future is bright, and this latest development reaffirms our long-term commitment to Aston Martin, where Aramco’s expertise and technology can contribute to advanced car performance.

Aramco’s Role

From 2026 onwards, Aramco intends to provide the team with state-of-the-art technology to deliver advanced fuels and lubricants. This will be in conjunction with the team’s new works power unit engine partnership with Honda.

Aramco’s expertise and products will make a real contribution to our on-track performance and add significant value in many other areas of our organization, especially at our new AMR Technology Campus.

As part of the partnership, Aramco and the Aston Martin Aramco Formula One® Team will collaborate on joint science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) initiatives. 

They aim to inspire the future’s young technicians, engineers, and drivers. This shared ambition demonstrates our ambition to innovate and succeed in Formula One.

Cognizant, the U.S.-based IT company previously a joint title sponsor with Aramco, will remain a strategic partner, contributing to the team’s development and success.

Lawrence Stroll, Aston Martin Aramco Formula One® Team Executive Chairman, also voiced his pride in strengthening the successful partnership with Aramco.

We are working on several key initiatives, including developing advanced fuels for 2026 when we begin our Honda Works power unit partnership.”
