Saudi Arabia’s low cost airline, Flyadeal airline is expanding internationally with 2 new flights to Karachi, Pakistan starting from February 2nd, 2024.

Flyadeal will operate 2 weekly roundtrips from Jeddah and Riyadh to Karachi using Airbus A320s aircraft marking its first regular services to South Asia.

This expansion follows its 2024 Hajj flights to Pakistan and is part of Flyadeal’s international growth strategy, with more routes planned for 2025.

Revised Visa Requirements

Saudi Arabia has eased tourist visa requirements for Pakistani travelers, with applicants now only needing to provide a bank statement showing a balance of $750 or its equivalent. 

The Kingdom is targeting 2.7 million visitors from Pakistan in 2024, reflecting a 43% rise compared to 2023.

Visa applications can be processed at any of the six Tasheer offices located in Lahore, Islamabad, Karachi, Peshawar, Multan, and Quetta.

Saudi Aramco 40% Stake in Pakistan (GO) 

The Competition Commission of Pakistan (CCP) has approved Saudi Aramco’s purchase of a 40% share in Gas & Oil Pakistan Ltd., one of the country’s leading oil and gas firms. 

This marks Aramco’s debut in Pakistan’s fuel retail market, expanding its global footprint by securing new distribution channels for refined petroleum products.

This move builds on previous Saudi investments in Pakistan totaling $21 billion, including a $5 billion economic support package announced recently. It highlights Saudi Arabia’s commitment to strengthening bilateral ties and boosting Pakistan’s economic growth.
