Saudia has committed to purchasing 100 Lilium aircraft, which are German-manufactured electric vertical take-off and landing aircraft. 

These German electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft will serve as shuttles between the Jeddah airport and airstrips in Makkah hotels near the Grand Mosque and other holy places to further enhance the pilgrim experience.
