Saudi Entertainment Ventures, A PIF company, also known as SEVEN, is investing $290 million in a new entertainment destination in Yanbu, which is to be located on Nawras Island to help enhance the city’s entertainment sector and support economic diversification in Saudi Arabia.

In an ambitious move to bolster the local entertainment sector, Saudi Entertainment Ventures (SEVEN), a subsidiary wholly owned by the Public Investment Fund (PIF), has embarked on a significant project in Yanbu.

The Location

The location of the SEVEN entertainment destination is as unique as the project itself. Situated on Al Nawras Island, along the seafront promenade of Yanbu, the venue is poised to play a pivotal role in the city’s burgeoning entertainment sector. 

Design: A Celebration of Yanbu’s Heritage

The project’s design is being handled by Gensler, a leading global architecture, design, and planning firm. Drawing inspiration from Yanbu’s rich history as a historic port on the Kingdom’s western Red Sea coast, the architecture celebrates water, incorporating elements of the beach and the sea.

A Wealth of Experiences Awaits

Abdullah AlDawood, Chairman of SEVEN, expressed his excitement about the project. He said, “Our entertainment destination in Yanbu will provide residents and visitors with a wealth of new and exciting experiences while supporting the city’s rapidly developing entertainment sector.” 

He further added that the destination is inspired by Yanbu’s beautiful natural seascape and its rich history as one of the oldest ports in the Kingdom.

A Partnership for Progress

Fakher Al Shawaf, Chairman and Group CEO of Al Bawani Co. Ltd, shared his enthusiasm about the project.

Ramez Al-Khayyat, the President of UCC Holding, expressed his delight about spreading joy in Yanbu through their partnership with ‘SEVEN.’ He said, “We will leverage our extensive experience in building entertainment destinations to deliver the project on time, to the highest international standards.”

A Carnival of Entertainment

SEVEN Yanbu is set to house a highly immersive carnival-themed family entertainment center offering world-class rides. The entertainment destination will provide a plethora of attractions, including a Clip ‘n Climb facility with 30 climbing challenges for both adults and children.

Moreover, it has a junior family entertainment center, a state-of-the-art 10-screen cinema, a futuristic neon 10-lane bowling experience, and a fun-filled indoor adventure golf course. In addition, the destination will feature a wide variety of local and international retail and dining experiences.

A Kingdom-wide Expansion

SEVEN has invested over SAR 50 billion to construct 21 entertainment destinations across Saudi Arabia. The company recently announced the commencement of construction of its entertainment destinations in the Al Hamra district of Riyadh and Tabuk. 

The upcoming projects are located in 14 cities across the Kingdom: Riyadh, Kharj, Makkah, Jeddah, Taif, Dammam, Khobar, Al Ahsa, Madinah, Yanbu, Abha, Jazan, Buraidah, and Tabuk.
