Saudi Arabia’s Kingdom Holding has resumed construction on the much awaited Jeddah Tower, which is due to become the world’s tallest building at over 1,000 meters, surpassing Dubai’s Burj Khalifa.
Designed by Adrian Smith + Gordon Gill Architecture, this $1.9 billion skyscraper is due to feature an aerodynamic three petal design, a Four Seasons Hotel, luxury apartments, and restaurants.
Jeddah Tower’s construction is due to take approximately 42 months and is expected to be completed by mid 2028, Insha’Allah.
Jeddah Tower’s Construction Resumes
Jeddah Tower’s journey started in the early 2010s, with Saudi Binladin Group (SBG) leading the initial construction phase. Substantial progress was made, with approximately one-third of the superstructure constructed and the piling work meticulously executed by the renowned German firm Bauer.
After a pause that saw construction stall, the Jeddah Tower project has been revitalized with the SBG reassuming its role as the primary contractor for the superstructure.
This pivotal decision was formalized through an agreement between SBG and the Jeddah Economic Company, a subsidiary of the esteemed Kingdom Holding Company (KHC).

Nestle’s First Manufacturing Plant
Nestle, the world’s largest food and beverage company, is set to launch its first manufacturing plant in Saudi Arabia, situated in the city of Jeddah.
