Transformative Hotel Projects in Makkah

Courtyard by Marriott Hotel Makkah

Marriott International signed a deal to open the world’s largest Courtyard by Marriott hotel in Holy Makkah, Saudi Arabia.

Marriott partners with BinDawood Trading subsidiaries to launch the hotel in the Al Naseem district of Makkah in 2026, InshaAllah.

The hotel will be called Courtyard by Marriott Makkah Al Naseem and will include 2,179 rooms along with a restaurant that seats 1,800 guests.

This project supports Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 by aiming to welcome 30 million Hajj and Umrah pilgrims each year by 2030.

Launching Park Inn by Radisson Makkah 

Radisson Hotel Group has introduced the Park Inn by Radisson Makkah Thakher Algharbi, strengthening its footprint in the Holy City.  

Located within the Thakher City development, just 2.1 km from Al Masjid Al Haram, the hotel boasts 161 upscale rooms and offers a 24-hour shuttle service to the Grand Mosque in Makkah.  

The Thakher Makkah project is designed to host 1.6 million pilgrims upon completion.

Abraj Omar Hotel & Residences Makkah

Accor, the top hotel company globally, has announced the upcoming Abraj Omar Hotel & Residences in Makkah, a part of the MGallery Collection, in collaboration with Alesayi Holding Group. 

This luxury boutique hotel and residences, scheduled to open in 2028, will include 276 hotel rooms and 214 homes for sale. 

The project will showcase floors themed on Islamic heritage, with the first floor dedicated to Omar Ibn Al Khattab, the second caliph of Islam.

Masar Makkah 

Masar Destination, situated in the heart of Makkah, is a modern integrated investment ecosystem that offers various flexible opportunities.

Its strategic location, only 550 meters from the Holy Mosque and 100 meters from the Haramain Station, makes it a prime development with 24,000 rooms. 

The main attraction of this project is the Residential Towers, which exemplify the ambitious vision of Masar Destination. In September 2023, Umm Al-Qura announced a partnership with Scope Properties to build Residential Towers in Makkah, with a projected cost of $240 million (SAR 900 million).

Jabal Omar Development

The Jabal Omar Development Project, an 8 Billion SAR project, is a one-of-a-kind project that aims to revitalize the city’s urban landscape by providing luxurious accommodations and easier access to religious and commercial facilities for both visitors and residents of the holy city of Makkah Al-Mukarramah.

By 2030, Jabal Omar Development Company will operate 15 hotels covering 230,000 square meters, all offering a direct view of the Al Masjid Al Haram. This ensures guests have both convenience and a spiritually enriching experience.

The Jumeirah Jabal Omar Hotel, the first hotel in Saudi Arabia from the Dubai-based Jumeirah Hotel group, has been officially announced open in the Holy City of Makkah.
