Saudi Arabia’s Rua Al Madinah Holding company has unveiled the new Islamic Civilization Village Project to enhance the pilgrim experience in the Blessed City of Madinah.
The 257,000 sq meter project is to be located close to Al Masjid An Nabawi and is due to feature eight stunning geographic zones showcasing Islamic History throughout the ages.
The new project aims to further enhance Islamic tourism in Madinah and is set to feature multiple dining options, activities, and green spaces to enhance the visitor experience.

The Rua Al Madinah Project, a project in collaboration with the Public Investment Fund (The PIF), was unveiled by Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince, Mohammed bin Salman, as an ambitious plan for the significant development of Al Madinah.

This development project, spanning an area of 1.5 million square meters, will see the construction of 47,000 new hotel rooms by 2030. It will also feature open spaces and green areas, making up 63% of the site
Rua Al Madinah has also entered into a hotel management agreement with three entities, namely Marriott, Accord, and Hyatt, to oversee hotel operations.
“We also have 7,000 hotel rooms in the concept stage, and another 8,000 rooms will start design in November. So we are talking about 20,000 rooms before year-end in different stages, in design or under construction or in the middle of design,” Mr. Al Juhani, chief executive at Rua Al Madinah Holding, said.
